The NLC will celebrate 125 years of service to
Canada through 2020!
NLCC VADM KINGSMILL fielded a team in all four competitions in the MAGNIFICENT Squadron competition held here at HMCS CARLETON on 22 Feb. While the competition was fierce, they achieved first place in all of them. BZ to the KINGSMILL Cadets and Staff!
The Branch mail-outs for the 2020 Membership Drive and Renewal Campaign went out in late February, and responses have started coming in - most with kind donations as well. It is great to see many of our old members returning! And our sincere appreciation also goes to the many current members for their quick renewals. We hope many will choose to join & remain with us as our foundation in the community.
An enjoyable Council Meet & Greet took place at RCSCC FALKLAND on 4 March. It was quite informative for all, and we gained a few new Council members!
Welcome Aboard

Working with S/Lt(NL) Richard Duval (serving as the Boats Chair) and Mid(NL) Angela Fairhurst (held the fort with TAG DAYS), their support will go a long way to addressing some of the critical gaps in our governance capacity. While portfolio assignments will soon follow, there will still be some vacancies and the need for Council members remains urgent, especially in advance of our AGM in the Spring. A similar Meet & Greet at NLCC VADM KINGSMILL will be held in the Fall.
Unfortunately, The COVID-19 pandemic has led to significant restrictions as all Canadians observe self-isolation measures and sweeping other directions & recommendations since early March in a shared effort to contain the spread of the virus and strive to stay healthy. These will continue to evolve and will likely continue for several weeks. The Navy League and the Branch are doing their part to to protect our cadets, staff, and their families. Our broad measures are provided on a separate COVID-19 page here. Updates on the specific restrictions and their impact on the Cadet activities are kept current on the two Corps' websites.
