Both corps started their winter training programs in earnest in early September with new recruits as well as cadets returning from their different summer activities - closing up at their home base for the winter at HMCS CARLETON on Dow's Lake. |

With the in-house program of activities and training for our cadets underway, the time came in early October for the HOWARD to finish her 5 month tour of duty in support of our summer program. After a summer of on-the-water activities for our cadets and representing the cadet youth movement as our flagship on the Rideau Canal system, she was returned to her winter home in Dunrobin. She will be given the care and attention she needs in preparation for her next tour in 2020! |
For the Navy League Cadets, in addition to learning to better understand the nature of the environment of discipline and training they were about to embark upon, they would also learn of the recognition and promotions they would earn as they succeeded and gained greater responsibility. |

The Sea Cadets would experience similar lessons as their training continued, especially at their Ceremonial Divisions near end November as their new recruits earned their Cap tallies as full-fledged members of the FALKLAND family - and the start of experiences and memories for years to come! |
