What's New?
November was a busy month with  citizenship events around Remembrance Day.   It started with support of our veterans at the national launch of the poppy campaign, locally with the Royal Canadian Legion Branches that support the Branch, and Sea Cadet participation in the candlelight ceremony for our veterans at the Canadian War Museum.

Both Corps participated in the National Remembrance Day ceremony at the National Cenotaph downtown, garnering attention for the Cadet movement both at the national level and locally.
Further participation included the NLC participation in the local Remembrance Day ceremony at the Westboro Legion, and the Sea Cadets at the Strathcona  Legion,  As well, the FALKLAND Band paraded at the John McCrae Secondary School performed at the Carleton retirement residence.

Later in the month, NLCC KINGSMILL formed a significant element in the Wreath's Across Canada ceremony at the Notre Dame Cemetery.  The Falkland band played at local events and went to Morrrisburg to participate in their annual parade.

But the experiences also included some fun with friends in various sports and team events, and the and the sense of  family that comes with the traditional activities of life within the Corps - best seen in the Naval Christmas dinner event held by each Corps in late December at the end of this training season ...
